My mum came down the weekend after mothers day for a belated mother’s day weekend with my sister and brother and I decided that I would go all out and make her a card, a gift voucher and truffles plus I bought some flowers.

Everything is hand made (except the flowers!) here’s a lowdown on what’s included in the Mothers day package.
Card: I drew on a flower pattern and then went over the stalks with brown back stitch and then green on the leaves, the flowers are made using 4 circles of alternative red and white tissue paper, scrunched in the middle and sewn down. Lastly the lettering is done with those letter papers with the whole alphabet on it in about 5 times with upper ad lowercase on it and then you put the letter you can over the place u want it and use your pencil to scribble on the letter and it transfers onto the paper. (what is it called??)

Truffles: I made white, milk and dark chocolate with either a coating of chopped nuts, coco powder or icing sugar. VERY messy to make but absolutely scrumptious. I got the recipe from Cooking for Engineers and then I created a bag with netting and the wrappers from the chocolate bars and tied it with a piece of string and added a tag.

Padded Voucher: I knew I wanted to give my mum a voucher but didn’t want to just print one off the net and wanted to make it a little bit different and since I’m having a bit of an obsession with fabric atm I decided to make a padded one, I also created a tutorial for this which I will upload at some point:)
