I forgot to post about my new found skills on Photoshop, I used to hate the thing and not understand what button to press to even crop a photo, but after doing a handful of tutorials I seem to have gained a better understanding of it although I wouldn’t call myself a pro just yet! Below are some of my creations so far, I am very impressed with how far I have progressed though and have enjoyed myself a lot during the process. (It’s also a very useful skill to have when you have a artist mum who needs some random image superimposed onto a building for a commission! haha)

Ok so there’s more than a handful here, I forgot how many I did! I’m not even sure which is my fave but I enjoyed doing the middle one on the last row of the old diary’s as it was very in depth and I got to use my own pics for the Polaroids plus I was more experienced then so I played around with my own textures and pictures to create the image within the tutorial.

I also am particularly fond of the last one as I find it’s always easier to create something when you have a project to do so for this tutorial for a poster layout design I decided to try out my new idea of a Tink Shui craft night (which I, quite cleverly I reckon, named Tinkerin’ Tuesday!) and I really like how it turned out:)

If anyone has any comments or suggestions then let me know, I am all ears:)

Thanks for reading!

On the subject of geek, I really want to try out this Nes controller pattern I found on The Domestic Scientists free patterns page. I just need to get some supplies and I will be off:) There are a few other classic geek patterns too so take a look by clicking the image below.

The tweet bubble Series is a range of clothing that let you share and quite literally wear your Twitter status on your sleave! There is a few seperate sections of the project in which Bartholl uses different media to get across his idea and the immense following Twitter currently has.

Take a look for yourself, the page also has a few videos to show you the work in action, very clever stuff and very now.

New site for client Dave Monk is now finished and live! Have a look at http://www.davemonk.co.uk He is a broadcaster and compereer among other things so if you need someone then he’s your man!

The site was designed to be very minimal, no fuss so anybody looking at the site could get to the information they want easily and quickly. I used the burgedy colour that Dave Monk uses in his letter heads and the rest of his paper based promotion so that it would fit into his overall branding. And a prodominant picture in the left corner brigtens the page up and makes sure you know that Dave is the focus of this site!

I am very impressed with this site and so is Dave, which is a excellent.
