After many a days and weeks with no crafting and all websites I decided to have a little break as it was stressing me out too much (seriously I felt like smashing things up and sobbing hysterically at the same time I was so stressed out about it, not to mention it was that time of the month!) So I decided to get stuck in with a nice little craft project from one of my many blogs i’m rss subscribed too.

The project that jumped out at me was a simple square bottomed bag tutorial by Jordynn Mackenzie I found over at the Craftzine Blog. I then rummaged around in my fabric boxes and found some Southpark fabric that I still hadn’t used (it was on sale in Fabricland for 50p a meter!! I think I bought 4 meters) and then used some old green curtains as the lining plus some orange ribbon to contrast but also to match in with the scheme of the main fabric.

So here is my creation, it can be reversed too:) I am very proud of myself as I think it came out very well and looks very poffesional especially since I havn’t sewed anything in about a month!

Slacker!

I’ve been very slack with the whole MCSE thing recently, easter weekend was a bit hectic, lots of things going on but now i’m gona get back on track for the second half.

To start it off here is some lovely picture of the tattoo I had done the other day (of which I am very proud of myself for actually doing!) It’s of Pixie feet because my nickname and business is called Tink but I didn’t want something as big as Tinkerbell for my first tattoo and loads of people have that too.

I think that todays amazing effort makes up for the lack of stuff the last few days. Here’s the lowdown, my friend is having a themed pub crawl and it’s Geek/Obscure theme so thinking game charectors, cult tv series etc. I decided that I wanted to be faith, mainly to do with the fact that her hair style is similar to mine (with a little clour change magic from a bottle too) and this is what I have come up with today minus a few details that I will add later and on the day:)

Oppsy, missed a day

Ok so I missed yesterdays because it was a bit of a random wierd day, but i’m here now and I will do 2 creative things today to make up for it! I also wanted to tell the world that Seven Pounds is the MOST saddest and loveliest film in the world! I watched it last night and I cried, proper cried too! Go watch it and I challenge you to not cry!

So day 3 and I have been super creative!:) Spent all day making some jewellery for my shop www.tinkshui.co.uk has been lots of fun although today I have lost my job:( but i’m not too bothered because my manager is an idiot and I probably would of left anyway.

I’m gona take it as a sign to get a move on in making stuff for my shop anf getting some sales in once they are all up and running. So here is day 3’s work:

Make something cool everyday (in april)

In order to physically make me do something creative, and get ontop of this whole blogging malarky, I have decided to partake in the ‘Make something cool everyday’ (in april and maybe more if i really get into it) which I have been reading about in a few of the blogs I am subscribed to (Dabbled, The Domestic Scientist) It has too inspired me and as I now have my store set up and ready to go as a little extra I may sell them as special one off’s (unless there’s a demand!)

Since I found this today it means I technically should be uploading 2 things so I am going to use this little monster I made at the weekend for the first day.

He is made out of a pair of old curtains, buttons and wool for his hair. I quite like him although I will have to get better at sewing corners on my sewing machine and sewing up the seam where I turned him inside out and stuffed him from as the hair is there to cover that horrible seam up! :/

I will go make something now and upload it for todays one and then I will be off for a meal and some 2 for 1 cocktails for my friends b’day:)
