I have been getting increasingly frustrated by the lack of a dedicated photography area in which I can take pic of the things I make without any clutter in the background, a good light source and a solid white colour behind to enhance the thing I’m taking a picture of. Our current flat is small and dingy in the basement (moving in 2 months to a 2 bed house tho, yay!) I don’t really have much choice and even in the new house I will have to share the ‘office’ space with my other half and all his DJ equipment.
I have found a solution now thanks to my awesome friend Alex, check out his deviant art page for some examples of his photography, a website is in the making but not quite finished yet I am told.
His idea is a very thrifty one and composes of making your own light box out of simply a cardboard box, white tissue paper/white fabric and 2 sheets of poster board (one black, one white) most of which you may already have in the house. The two tutorials I will be following to create my very own light box is here and here.
