Day 3 of CADS – Cross stitch Moo’s

This may be a little bit of cheat since I have already posted in day 1 my cross stitch but I have completed it now and it’s sooo cute:) Here are some pics:

I can’t decide which Coo I like best! heh.

I am off to my friends for a chocolate fondue night now, woop! I will leave you with a little random fact:

Did you know…

According to folklore, the name of denim brand C.R.A.F.T stands for ‘can’t remember a f**king thing’

Found this bit of info from Glamour mag I ‘got’ from my local laundry land, hehe. Thought it was appropiate and interesting, I wonder if anyone can think of a different acronym for CRAFT?

Day 2 of CADS

So for Day 2 I was going to make a tape cassette into a purse a la Chezlin I had everything ready, tape pulled apart, zipper, felt and it was even a see through one which would of been awesome… but I don’t have the right glue:( Need some super strong glue which I don’t have unfortunately.

So instead, as I cannot let my CADetteS down, I decided to be resourceful and use the tape that came out of the cassettes and take some picture of it using my new light box. Not as good as I had wanted them to be because the light source I am using isn’t bright enough but good enough for a crafty effort. What I really wanted is a consistent white background but as you can see it’s slightly darker in the corners and edges, still a lot to learn yet tho:)

So here ya go:

O and I also completed my second Coo on my cross stitch but I won’t post that til I’ve completed it, gona go finish him now me thinks!

Thank you!

I am so so pleased with the amount of responses I have had for CADS, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside that people want to take part. I obviously have a lot of thanks to give to Heather at Dollar Store Crafts for posting about it and generating people to my blog and the project so Thank You heather:)

I have added everyone who has responded to the new blogroll for CADS which I have, I think quite cleverly, called CADetteS,! I will also try and get around to all your blogs every day if poss to find out how your getting on, but don’t worry I won’t be mad if you haven’t managed it:)

In other news I had a business meeting today with Business Link, a free service for new and starting up businesses. They have helped me so much and given a ton of good information and contacts. This means that I have still to create my second day craft but bear with me, I will be doing it as soon as I hit publish on this post!

So for now welcome new CADetteS and get crafting in September!

Day 1 of Craft a Day September

For the first day of my CADS project I have done a third of my cross stitch that my mum bought for me on her holiday. It’s of 3 Scottish Highland Coos, my favourite animal is a cow, and I have now completed the first Coo.

The last time I cross stiched was when I was 12/13 during the summer school me and my sister attended. It was a clown and I remember feeling really relaxed while sitting there chatting and cross stitching:)

So anywhere here is the first Coo:

Craft a day Sept’

Since I did so poorly in the Make Something Cool Everyday in April task I thought I would start my own for the month of September and see how I get on. It should be a lot easier now because I am really getting into this blogging malarkey and I have loads of free time.

Come join me in my task! There are no rules as such so your craft could be anything from knitting to photography to a painting or even a piece of poetry! Leave a comment below if your taking part and I will add you the the ‘cads’ blog roll. I will be keeping track of all fellow Cads attendees closely and will update the list when we get new people involved. You can join at anytime, don’t worry if your a few days or months in, everyone is welcome and don’t worry if you miss a day or a week or something, I won’t tell you off!

Really looking forward to this, it will be a good motivational method for me and hopefully inspire some fellow crafty bloggers. Here is a couple of badges to put on your blog to let everyone know that you are partaking in it, make sure it links back to this post and Happy Crafting! :)

Finished Lightbox

I made the light box I was talking about a couple of posts ago, it was fun and easy to make and reminded me of when I was younger and used to make random inventions and creations out of cardboard boxes, toilet tubes and tissue paper! Here is what my light box looks like all finished and ready to go:

I’m stil getting to grips with it though and need a better lamp then my little desk one, thinking a cheap charity/poundland store lamp and a high wattage bulb would do the trick and then I will get on with practicing my macro photography, now if only someone would buy me I could afford  an actul macro lens!

Tattoo?

I have been thinking about getting another tattoo, which is weird because I never thought I would ever have 1 tattoo! My first one was on the inside of my left wrist and is 2 little ‘pixie’ feet to represent Tinkerbell of course! :) I love it, here is a couple of pics, I did a post on it before but it was right after so looks completely diff now!

I would like my new one to be of a Cherry Blossom tree as I think it is beautifull, plus the fascination I have with japeanese culture etc. I would like something like this:

cherry-tattoo3 Cherry_Blossom_Tattoo2

but maybe not in those places, I was thinking about maybe going down my right foot but it would hurt like hell!! Well anyway I can’t get one till I have money so might be a wait. Would love to know your thoughts of where and what you think and especially if you’ve got a tattoo on your foot.

Geek Dump

Since a lot of the blogs I’m reading are featuring geeky crafts I thought I’d join in with a few awesome geeky finds on Craftster.org click on the image to go to the original page.
